Stunt rigging doesn't come from a textbook. It's built on a deep working knowledge of rope systems and complex structural design, applied fresh to whatever a production needs next. Film keeps changing, and so does the work — Matt approaches every new concept with the same mindset: if the director can imagine it, there's a way to build it safely.
That's meant strapping performers to a moving WWII tank, engineering bungee rigs, and designing systems that work above and below the water. No two builds are the same, which is exactly the point.
A strong CAD background underpins the process. Modeling and layering elements in advance lets potential conflicts get caught early, keeping the design process efficient and the final rig clean, safe, and built to hold up under real production conditions — while still delivering the visual impact a shot calls for.
